| Tiivistelmä: | This paper discusses the implications of a positive relationship between city size and productivity and its relationship for evaluation of transport improvement. The author develops a theoretical model used to derive a cost-benefir measurement that includes the impacts of transport improvement on city size and productivity of city workers. The author argues that the productivity effects are quantatively important and substantially increasing the gains attributable to urban transport improvement. |
