Tiivistelmä:In industries with plenty of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), managers' good intentions frequently cause barriers to superiour environmental (hereafter as: env-al.) performance. During the period with the U.S. wine industry beginning to promote voluntary adoption of sound env-al. practices, this paper examines managers' attitudes, norms, and perceptions (herein as: a-n-and-prs.) of stakeholder pressures to evaluate their intentions to implement env-al. management programs (EMP).
It is found that managers within the simple structures of these SMEs are responsive to a-n-and-prs. from internal stakeholders and that voluntarily established EMP increases the success of firms' implementation of recycling practices and energy conservation.
