| Tiivistelmä: | The present article focuses on causal attributions for success and failure in achievement tests as a component of the learner's personal belief system. The underlying assumption is that social and cultural influences are responsible, at least in part, for shaping that system, as well as the educational environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate gender-related differences in causal attributions for success and failure in tests of mathematics and languages - English, Arabic, and Hebrew - among Jewish and Arab students in Israel. |
