| Tiivistelmä: | The answer given in the article: Yes, there is synergy btw. business and research. Good theory can be built partly on practical problems in business , and good business can be built partly on applications of current theory. As argued in the speech, academics too often do ignore anecdotal evidence when doing research. Similarly, practitioners too often ignore relevant theory and rely instead on rules of thumb after major changes in markets. What is there to be done. Some suggestions are provided in the article. |
