| Tiivistelmä: | With the economic belt along the Beijing-Kowloon rail line formed, the population distribution will rapidly present a new "point-line"structure. The labour-intensive industries in the Pearl River Delta should be encouraged to move to the inland areas along the rail line to reduce the labourers' flow from south to north, thus increasing the the volume of rail freight. The labourers in the provinces along the rail line are also encouraged to return to their hometowns to do pioneering work in order to promote the redistribution of population. While developing economy, some efforts should be made to raise the quality of population in these areas. The prudent attitude towards the investment in the areas along the rail line should be taken. Importance should be attached to the superiority of resources and talent. |
