Tiivistelmä:For many decades, overseas production rather than exporting has been the dominant strategy of USA multinationals. The competitive advantage of producing in the USA, as compared to other industrialized countries, has increased dramatically since 1985. Yet, many USA multinationals do not take advantage of this radical change. The author argues that a modest strategy change by USA multinationals would produce thousands of needed domestic manufacturing jobs, while ensuring higher business profits.
