| Tiivistelmä: | This article extends the contingency theory linking diversification strategy to organization design by proposing that the particular source of benefits being pursued by related diversified firms causes variations in the multidivisional form of organization. Propositions derived from a consideration of the structure and processes required to successfully realize potential benefits are presented. These should aid conceptual and empirical research into the implementation of diversification strategies based on these sources of benefits. |
