Tiivistelmä:Recent ethical breeches by corporate governors have called into question whether ethical attitudes have changed since the Corporate Raider scandals of the mid-1980s. This study uses a follow-up on a previous investigation of college students (hereafter as: c-studnts.) in the mid-1980s to analyze this question. Using a similar survey instrument, it is found that students surveyed in 2001 are significantly less accepting of the ethically questionable situations in seven of 15 scenarios and more accepting in only one. Seven scenarios showed no significant change. It is concluded that, overall, ethical attitudes of students in 2001 appear to have become higher over time. To the extent that current c-studnts are future business leaders, these results are found to be encouraging for the long term.
