| Tiivistelmä: | Although much research has been done on role conflict and role ambiguity, a number of researchers have criticized the construct validity of these measures. In response to these criticisms, House, Schuler, and Levanoni /1983/ developed and tested an expanded set of items. The present study used factor analysis to analyse the 43 items developed by them with the purpose of determining whether role ambiguity and role conflict comprise substantive factors or whether they are artifactual. |
