| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the effect of the size of the board, its composition and internal functioning on company value. The research sample consists of 450 non-financial companies from countries in Western Europe and North America. The findings indicate a negative relationship between company value and the size of the board of directors. No significant relationship between board composition and company value is found. |
