| Tiivistelmä: | Beijing-Kowlon Railway was successfully completed on Nov.17, 1995. With the largest scale and the most investment, it is the longest one, completed once only in the history of railway construction in China. At the south end of the railway, Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway was also completed on july. 10, 1995. Heyuan city is located at the meeting point of the two railways. So it is provided by the two railways with rare chance for its economic development. This paper mainly analyses the economic and industrial structures of Heyuan city, expounds respectively the different promoting functions of the two railways to the tertiary industry of this city and also raises the strategy of industrial development and corresponding policy countermeasures in the coming 5 and 10 years. |
