| Tiivistelmä: | In recent years, with the massification of higher education, the changing nature of the student population as well as changes in education delivery there has been a greatly increased need for capital funding. While national funding often cannot meet the demands, higher education real estate management is rapidly emerging as a strategic issue in many OECD Member countries. This article explores the underlying patterns of change, develops a reference model and lists pathfinder initiatives which resulted from the Expert's Meeting held in Warwick, in March 1997. |
