| Tiivistelmä: | In the 198os the German Government made several attempts for the regulation of working time. Now at last it succeeded in updating and overhauling the country's system of working time regulation. The new Working Time Act ensures more flexible working time arrangements, and retains a general ban on working on Sundays or public holidays. A great attention is paid on the health and safety of workers also. The main provisions and the background of the Act are analysed. |
