Tiivistelmä: | Based on a sample of 89 mid-level managers (hereafter as: mgrs.) in a U.S. based urban hospital, this paper investigates relationships (here as: r-ships.) among 3 measures of network centrality (as: n-cntr-y.) and managers' divergent strategic activity (here as: m-d-s-act-y). Expected network flows are considered to be associated with 3 elements of the strategic renewal process (as: s-r-proc). Hypothesized and tested are r-ships. among m-d-s-act-y. and 3 measures of n-cntr-y. Among others, the findings suggest specific r-ships. btw. alternative forms of n-cntr-y. and particular elements of the s-r-proc. |
