Tiivistelmä: | The paper discusses the relationship between knowledge and action. It is often assumed that the relationship starts with knowledge: we know something and we act upon it. However, this assumption can lead KM initiatives to develop knowledge that is not useful for the action that an organization is willing to take. Deriving knowledge from the actions the organization is willing to take will make the knowledge more useful and it will directly facilitate actions. The paper develops five principles for action-oriented KM. |
