| Tiivistelmä: | The increasing importance of the internal audit function in the USA is evidenced by the attention focused on this function by professional standard setting bodies and an investigatory commission. Previous research in both accounting and organizational behavior has identified specific leader behaviors that result in improved performance and satisfaction. This study explores the effect of leader behaviors on subunit performance and subordinate satisfaction. The results of this study show that audit efficiency is influenced by both task behaviors and relationship oriented behaviors. |
