Tiivistelmä:Since 1979, China has embarked on a strategy of economic reform, based on the "Open Door" policy and the "Four Modernizations" (of agriculture, industry, defense, and science and technology). The result has been a shift from a command economy to one more determined by market forces. In this context, a nascent labor market has developed that has gone a considerable way toward improving resource allocation.
