| Tiivistelmä: | The main results obtained by comparing personal computer based Linear Programming software are discussed. Performance measures as well as other criteria relevant for industrial use are comprised. Especially it is considered whether the current personal computer based Linear Programming software is able to solve small to medium size Linear Programming models. It is demonstrated how Linear Programming software could be applied in an industrial setting by describing the planning concept of a personal computer based planning system used to solve an actual decision problem. |
