| Tiivistelmä: | The author distinguishes economic systems by active guidance of productive forces and passive management by anonymous price or market mechanisms. The necessity of global optimization is emphasized because of scarceness of resources and because of collective interest in their optimal social utilization. The pure market mechanism is rejected because of its onesided profit orientation and its too limited planning horizon, which acts as a retarding effect on technical progress. However, the author supports a modified market mechanism together with a centralized guidance, which is based more on a broader technology - than on product-optimization. The author demands the acceptance of entrepreneurship as an equally entitled form of economics. |
