| Tiivistelmä: | A modified ceiling test would result in more relevant, reliable and comparable financial statements. Public companies with oil and gas assets approached the Securities and Exchange Commission numerous times in recent years seeking relief from the interim and year end fullcost ceiling test. While the SEC did not grant a general waiver, it said that if industry representatives wanted rule changes, they should propose new rules and include commentary and the basis for their conclusions. |
