| Tiivistelmä: | For different elements of an offshore oil and gas structure, a material and energy flow analysis with corresponding financial flows is carried out for different decommissioning scenarios (here as: sc./scs). A comparative assessment is made of the non-financial (as: non-fin.), especially environmental outcomes of the different scs. The costs of each sc., when compared with the reference sc. give an implicit valuation of the non-fin. outcomes, if that sc. ought to get adopted by society. Among others, it is concluded not to be clear that the removal of the topsides and jackets of large steel structures to shore is environmentally justified. |
