| Tiivistelmä: | This paper reports findings of research, funded by the DES, which examined the introduction of performance appraisal in British universities. Although university staff appraisal is still in its early stages, the research has highlighted some important issues which need to be addressed. While appraisales are generally satisfied with confidentiality safeguards and right of appeal in the appraisal producere, they are seriously concerned about the lack of follow-up from the appraisal interviews. |
