| Tiivistelmä: | After a brief examination of the cultural differences between the higher education and industrial sectors, a number of suggestions are made towards bridging the cultural gap. The supply of appropriately educated manpower to meet the developing needs of industry is then addressed and this is followed by an examination, based on direct experience, of criteria which underpin successful alliances. A number of prototype examples are cited. |
