| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of this paper is to transmit some of the basic ideas that inspire the following process of evaluation in the Spanish universities. The Spanish universities are starting a wide process of institutional assessment, with the aim of stimulating the quality of the universities in three basic aspects: teaching, research and management. In the first part, the basic ideas of the recently initiated process are described. In the second, third, and fourth parts the explicit description of the mechanisms of the experimental program that are going to be used for the assessment is given. |
