| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines what kind of causal impacts are causing changes in the level of government grants to museums. Data from a panel of UK museums that are funded by central government is analysed, and the results indicate that an increase in non-grant income results in reduction in future government subsidies. A change in the number of visitors does not appear to change the amount of government grants. |
