| Tiivistelmä: | In 1996, the whole society's investment in fixed assets for the whole year was expected to reach 2380 billion yuan, up 18.9% over last year (or a real growth of 12.5% if price increase is excluded). Such an investment scale met the need of overall economic development and basically fulfilled the requirements of comprehensive balance. But the structural contradiction of investment was still prominent. It found expression in following: insufficient investment in updating and transformation of equipment , the strong trend of reproduction on an extended scale of extension, lag in investment for purpose of capital and welfare construction, too rapidly increased investment for competition, small-scale investment projects, blind and repetition construction, the widening gap in investment in the central and western areas. |
