| Tiivistelmä: | The paper has two objectives. First, it examines the validity of various predictions of neo-classical theory of growth in South Korea and Thailand. Second, the paper assesses the role of investment as a proportion of GDP and of export growth to economic growth in these countries. The empirical tests have been made by applying modern time series modeling techniques in terms of cointegration analyses and estimation of error correction models on the basis of annual time series data for 1950 - 1987 and for 1953 - 1990. |
