Tiivistelmä: | Economic performance has been relatively poor in Sub-Sahara African nations in the past four decades. Some aspects of East Asia's experience in economic development could be relevant for the nations of Sub-Saharan Africa. The study's conclusion is that the nations of Sub-Sahara Africa should aspire to the dramatic progress made by East Asian economies. These countries could catch-up in a matter of few decades. Their changes of doings could be maximized by adopting economic policies that give a greater role to competition and that effectively utilize their material and human resources. |
