| Tiivistelmä: | This study deals with the conflict btw. indigenous peoples and energy developers in the Russian Federation North, covering conflicts of values and expectations for several Siberian groups as to ecology, land and homeland, as well as cultural rights etc. Featured cases derive from West Siberia as well as the Far East. Conclusions urge greater sensitivity to internal debates and trans-national comparisons in aiming to define analytical categories embracing and going beyond 'post-socialist' and 'post-Soviet' studies. |
