| Tiivistelmä: | The authors focused on Spanish hotel industry as a case study in how hotels report environmental aspects. The research focused on the hotels which have the Ecomanagement and Audit Scheme (EMAS) certification. Statistical analysis methods were used to test the hypothesis about how the size, ownership structure, years having a certification and the type of the hotel influence on their behavior. According to the findings of this study it is troublesome to rank hotels using the environmental statements of EMAS because the environmental information is not comparable. |
