| Tiivistelmä: | The articles in this Special Section represent a noteworthy contribution to the literature on management control and new IT. It is still an underdeveloped area empirically, theoretically as well as practically, but these papers do develop important learning points. They have embarked on a more nuanced appreciation of the place of information technology and are thus moving our understanding of the relationships between advanced information technology and management control ahead. They show that such relationships are complex and may have unexpected directions. In this sense, the papers open the discussion. More authors need to participate in this debate. |
