| Tiivistelmä: | Somebody leaving behind his own cultural background and being introduced into another may develop three attitudes: browse among different cultures; stick to his own background and refuse the new one; immerse into the new background without giving up the old one. The latter is only fruitful for humanity. Cultures are not equally apt for such cultural cross-fertilization. India rejects everything alien, Europe accepts it in its original form without digesting, only Japan is open to outside stimuli. |
