| Tiivistelmä: | In many parts of India special ornaments are drawn on the floor of private houses during rituals. The article analyses the symbol-system of these drawings. They place symbols of desired events in cosmos in order to make them real through magic. Symbols are considered to be effective only during the ritual. |
