| Tiivistelmä: | Nonverbal signs are iconic and probabilistic, this makes them difficult to transcribe. The article suggests to employ such coding systems for nonverbal communication that rely on the segmentation of movements into functional units. On the basis of two studies which use the coding system of Ekman and Friesen the authors reveal interesting links between nonverbal behaviour and personality traits. |
