| Tiivistelmä: | The article explains a rule of iconic text interpretation with regard to iconicity in language use in search for an answer to the question of whether restrictions of the order of attributes within complex noun phrases are due to iconic text interpretation. A conclusion is offered to the effect that iconicity in syntax is a phenomenon of secondary motivation. |
