| Tiivistelmä: | The article offers arguments to prove that semiotics is more than a path from iconic codes to digital structures and describes some achievements of practical semiotics and analogous model-building. Repetition, schematization, and reflexivity appear to be characteristic features of institutional codes. These assertions help to place concrete examples in the context of abstract discussion about codes. |
