Tiivistelmä: | Rather than just cut jobs, Ricardo Semler set up workers as private entrepreneurs - in his own factories. He owns a manufacturing company in Brazil called Semco. Semco has long been a laboratory for unusual employment and management practices. What they are now engaged in might be called a radical experiment in unsupervised, in-house, company-supported satellite production of goods and services for sale to Semco itself and to other manufacturers by employees, part-time employees, ex-employees, and people who have never had any connection with Semco whatsoever (but who work on their premises and on their equipment). |
