Tiivistelmä:This article is an investigation of HRM practices in 34 JIT manufacturing firms. Important characteristics of a JIT workforce and specific recruitment and selection instruments used are identified. The degree of changes are measured in issues related to training , The degree of changes are measured in issues related to training, compensation , and employee retention since JIT implementation. The effectiveness of JIT implementation is examined and some of the common problems faced by HRM managers when implementing the JIT philosophy are discussed.
