| Tiivistelmä: | A controlled laboratory experiment is used to compare the performances of theory of constraints/optimized production technology, management science and local optimization approaches to production planning. It seems that management science's approach to production planning improve the performance more than local optimization's approach, and management science was found to improve the performance more than theory of constraints. The tested approaches had a medium to large effect on performance and the laboratory experiment had a high power, suggests the statistical power analysis. |
