| Tiivistelmä: | The total volume of import and export from Jan. to Oct., 1996 amounted to US$ 226.43 billion, up 2.5% over the same period of last year. By the end of Oct. the state's foreign exchange balance was US$ 98.85 billion, an increase of US$ 25.25 billion from the end of last year. The tasks of foreign economy and trade in 1997 are to accelerate the reform of foreign trade system and the shift of growth mode, utilise foreign investment rationally and effectively in a bid to expand the fields where foreign investment is introduced, open domestic market, guide foreign investment rationally towards the central and western areas and improve further investment environment. |
