| Tiivistelmä: | Sources of labor market fluctuations in the Scandinavian countries are examined, using structural VAR models with common trends. The primary concerns are the sources of hysteresis in unemployment and possible differences btw. the economies. In the paper, a simple economic model is presented to motivate identifying assumptions. It is shown how estimates of the theoretical parameters might be obtained from the estimated common trends coefficients. There are also suggestions on empirical results of the paper. |
