| Tiivistelmä: | The growth rate of economy in 1999 depends on the inclination of macro-economic policies. If the expansional fiscal and monetary policies of 1998 are still adopted and demands are further stimulated, it is possible that the expansion of investment at a low level and the rapid expansion of economic aggregates will happen again. If the focus is switch to the adjustment and upgrading of economic structure and the vigorous promotion of various policies with close relations on the basis of policies carried out in 1998, and if the stable growth of economy is realized though the structural adjustment and upgrading as well as the deepening of reform, it is likely that the economy will tend to pick up steadily. The author thinks that it is better to choose the latter policy inclination. In this way, the growth rate of GDP may reach around 8.5 percent. |
