| Tiivistelmä: | In recent years the relationship between consumption and the environment has emerged as an important issue for academic and policy study. For a long time environmental economics was concerned primarily with, on the one hand, production and technological change, and on the other, the demand for environmental goods. The new interest in the question of the environmental impact of household consumption is evidenced not only by the growing number of publications in this field, but by the establishment of an OECD policy research project. |
