| Tiivistelmä: | China's per capita GDP in 1997, published by the World Bank on June 2, 1998 was US$ 860, which was US$ 100 more than the figure published by China, which was converted according to the official exchange rate. The World Bank's adjustment of data on China's GDP and per capita GDP will possibly set off a chain reaction and so we should attach high importance to it and make a thorough study. Besides, we should point out the problems existing in the adjustment and make suggestions for revision. |
