| Tiivistelmä: | The present study analyzes the relationship of firm's strategy and organizational structure for two medium-sized companies of the fishing industry. The comparative case study shows that the often postulated influence of the firm's strategy on the firm's organizational structure only exists for the specialization aspect of organization. For the coordination instruments it was found that there is a considerable influence on the chosen strategy. Especially the high degree of centralization of the daily business leads to a situation where strategic decision might be neglected. |
