Tiivistelmä:This review seeks to introduce readers to the flourishing field of marketing ethics. Given the extent and complexity of the literature on marketing ethics, however, it is inevitably somewhat selective and personal. The early sections of the paper consider the rise of ethical concerns among marketers, and offer some reasons why that has occurred. There follows a brief overview of some of the recent components of the marketing ethics literature. Two particular themes are then explored in some depth: the nature of ethical dilemmas facing marketers, and how theoretical inputs can inform ethical decisions in marketing.
