Tiivistelmä:Different green marketing programmes and environnmental management systems have become popular in western market economies, mainly because they are cost-efficient and effective. This article argues that views of marketing programmes and environmental management systems bases on a number of ideas, images and metaphors which create many andocentric and inadequate assumptions about people, society and nature. Authors´ of this article also argue that these assumptions may be incompatible with long-term environmental protection goals.
