| Tiivistelmä: | This article discusses resident mobility in tourism places. The author examines how residents encounter tourists using the concept of tourism as a performance. The study uses the case of Venice, Italy to explore spatialities produced through the embodied practices of local mobilities. Key findings are that their movements demonstrate a certain degree of agency. Quinn also argues that tourist performance gives useful insight into how local residents are proactively involved in reconfiguring relationships and mobilities with and withn tourist places. |
