| Tiivistelmä: | The current study researches the stock market reaction to announcements about changes in movies' opening dates. The findings show systematic negative stock price responses to scheduling changes - it is suggested that any changes are interpreted as bad news by the market. It is also found that market reaction is greater for movies with higher production costs, but it is, however, unrelated to subsequent box office revenues. |
