| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of this research paper is to develop and evaluate a sustainable tourism framework, which can be put to use in less-developed setting, like small islands. The particular case analyzed was the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India (ANI), where the bottom-up sustainable tourism rapid indicator (STRI) framework we tested. The findings of this study revealed that the new framework, which pays attention to environmental, socio-cultural and economic indicators at the same time, can be useful for other similar type destinations. |
